Eastside Literary Team Wins Big at Region 4AAA Literary Competition

COVINGTON, Ga. – (submitted by Newton County Schools) The Eastside High School Literary Team earned several awards at the Region 4AAA Literary Competition in Griffin on Saturday, March 12, 2011.

These awards include: Girls Solo - 1st Place, Julianna Laseter; Girls Trio - 1st Place, Chelsea Flowers, Kaitlin Trust, and Katie Tuttle; Boys Quartet - 1st Place, Samual Glanton, Josh Lance, Tyler Moon, and Sam Potts; Boys Solo - 4th Place, Samuel Glanton; Girls Essay - 3rd Place, Sarah Bolen; and Girls Extemporaneous Speaking - 4th Place, Brittany Worton. All first place winners will now compete in the State AAA Literary Competition in Warner Robins, GA on Saturday, March 19, 2011.
