Home of the “finest selection of used clothing in Atlanta” Last Chance Thrift Store is one of the largest thrift stores in the area. Although shoppers have to sift through their expansive inventory, Last Chance is the type of store when you will always leave with a bag. The store also sells homewares and electronics. The store is located at 2525 North Decatur Road in Decatur.

Psycho Sisters is the ultimate thrift store, according to some.

ATLANTA -- 11Alive's morning team rolled out the red carpet Monday morning to honor Metro Atlanta's "Class Act" teachers. The 31 men and women were nominated by their peers and students for special recognition for their committment to their classes and students.


On Monday, the 31 educators, their principals and some family and friends joined the 11Alive morning team as a live studio audience.


For a Random Act of Kindness, they all received some of our anchors' favorite things:

COVINGTON, Ga. -- A Covington man has every reason to believe that turning fifty-five makes life golden. Rcently, Neville More won $269,584 when he matched all five numbers in the April 22 Fantasy 5 drawing.

Moore purchased his ticket at a Chevron Food Mart in Stockbridge. The numbers that made Moore's day were: 5-6-14-22-28.

There were two grand prize winners on April 22, the other winner won in Saint George, Georgia.

The restaurant has been a mainstay in the area since 1955. Every day, the Matthews family cooks the daily offerings from scratch. Join the people of Conyers for a bike ride through Olde Town Conyers. This 4.5 mile group ride is open to kids and adults on the historical streets of Conyers. This ride is held every fourth Sunday of every month. Meet at the railroad depot area at 4:00 p.m.

Check out the Divine Intervention exhibit of African Art and Religion at the Michael C. Carlos Museum at Emory University. This free exhibit is open daily and it showcases different masks and art, along with rituals observed in indigenous African religion.

Callanwolde Fine Arts Center hosts their Tango Night on Friday, April 22. Learn to dance to tango by focusing on rhythm and movement. No partner is necessary and lessons, taught by a Tango expert, begin at 8:00 p.m. And around 9:30 p.m.

Covington FUMC to host 2nd Annual Steeplechase

COVINGTON, Ga. – The Covington First United Methodist Church will host their second annual Steeplechase, 5K and one-mile Fun Run on May 7.

The run will be held on the historic streets of Covington, Georgia. And organizers of the event are stressing the importance of bringing awareness to local missions.
