Police: suspects drive car into Covington business, steal guns

COVINGTON, Ga. — Four suspects are on the run Monday after they broke into a Covington business and stole several weapons.

The incident happened just after 3 a.m. Monday morning at the Shots Fired gun store located on Washington Street. 

Investigators are asking the public to be on the lookout for the four suspects and three vehicles that may have been involved in the incident.

Police say the first male was armed with a black hand gun wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and an orange glove. Another male was wearing a grey hoodie, tan pants and brown shoes. The third male was wearing a blue hoodie, jeans, and red or purple shoes with white shoe strings. The forth male was wearing a black coat, black pants, camouflage hoodie, and red and black shoes. 

A description of the vehicles are as follows: a silver, early 2000s model Honda with rear panel damage on the driver’s side. The second vehicle is a light colored truck, possibly a 2006 to 2008 Dodge 1500. The third vehicle was a white or silver car, possibly an older model Silver Pontiac GT.

Anyone with information on the burglary or suspects involved is asked to call police at 678-625-5555. A reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
